Launch moves beyond traditional healthcare sector definitions, drawing on global sustainability frameworks to capture opportunities across pharmaceuticals, wellness, and environmental health.

LONDON, 7 August 2025 – Impact Cubed, a member of the Euroclear group and a leading provider of sustainability-integrated investment solutions, has partnered with Euronext to launch two new equity indices centred on the growing theme of Healthy Living. The Euronext iCubed Good Health&Wellbeing and Euronext iCubed Good Health&Wellbeing 60 are now live on the Euronext Amsterdam exchange under ISINs NLIX00006758 and NLIX00006782.

These launches mark a significant evolution in the construction of health-focused investment indices. Where traditional healthcare indices have primarily reflected narrow sector exposures (typically to pharmaceuticals, biotech and medical devices) the new Euronext iCubed healthy living indices incorporate a broader, sustainability-informed view of human and planetary health.

Built on established international frameworks such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), the indices recognise that health outcomes are driven not only by clinical interventions but also by wider environmental and lifestyle factors.

Healthy living has become an increasingly prominent investment theme, but it has often been implemented in overly simplistic or siloed ways, said Aston Chan, CIO, Head of Investment Solutions at Impact Cubed.

“Through our collaboration with Euronext, we’ve created a framework that reflects the full breadth of what contributes to human health - medical, behavioural, and environmental. These indices offer a more modern and nuanced perspective and better potential to drive long-term outcomes, both financial and societal.”

Three thematic drivers

By incorporating these drivers, the indices offer greater diversification and impact alignment than conventional sector-based strategies. In addition to core healthcare names, investors gain exposure to companies operating in adjacent industries such as water infrastructure, nutrition, and pollution control.

“This partnership represents a major step forward for Euronext Indices, reinforcing our position as an industry innovator with the capability to deliver differentiated solutions that meet the changing needs of today’s investment landscape,” said Liz Wright, Head of Index Strategy and Distribution at Euronext.

“By partnering with Impact Cubed, we demonstrate our ability and flexibility to collaborate with market leaders in their fields, delivering well researched, high-impact solutions with greater depth and breadth.”

Fully customisable, two variants of the index are currently available:

  • A broad European cap-weighted version representing the full healthy living universe in Europe, offering scalable exposure for institutional investors.

  • A focused 60-stock version, which selects the top 20 companies most aligned with each of the three environment- and lifestyle-related drivers.

The indices incorporate a robust exclusions framework aligned with the EU’s Paris-Aligned Benchmark (PAB) guidelines, and were designed with institutional implementation in mind, offering transparent, rules-based construction, as well as compatibility with passive vehicles such as ETFs or custom mandates.
