ESG is one of the hottest issues in the financial industry today, and as such, we are growing our talented Finance team. We’re looking for an experienced Financial Manager who can use their expertise to scale our business.

We’re growing fast, and have just secured key investment from Europe’s largest financial infrastructure company, Euroclear – so have very exciting plans ahead.

You will be part of a team whose mission is to create a positive impact by helping investors choose more sustainable investments. Reporting to the head of Operations, you will manage all aspects of the company’s financial activities. In addition, this role will also be the liaison to our outside Compliance Firm.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company’s accounting activities, including billing, cost accounting, payroll, inventory records, and others.
  • Prepare month-end financial statements, consolidation, and publication (cash flow, income statement, and balance sheet.) Maintain the general ledger.
  • Manage the annual budget process and work with line managers to manage spend and track budgets
  • Monitor, assess and advise the Executive Committee on financial risks
  • Monitor all financial control processes, including reviewing and analyzing quarterly and monthly financial information and disclosures.
  • Confirm transaction correctness and compliance with applicable accounting rules, such as GAAP or IFRS. Ensure adherence to the applicable jurisdiction’s corporate and tax rules. Ensure that the business complies with all tax, permit, and licensing obligations.
  • Organize auditing procedures and communicate with outside auditors throughout the auditing procedure.
  • Perform tax preparation tasks and coordinate with outside tax accountants to prepare taxes
  • Implement improved procedures and controls in conjunction with an executive team to protect the accuracy of the company’s ledger
  • Assist in review of commercial agreements.

Basic Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Finance Manager/ Head of Finance/ CFO
  • Accounting degree or a comparable degree.
  • A history of financial management success.
  • Good verbal communications, outstanding interpersonal abilities.
  • Solid foundation in accounting principles.
  • Experience in auditing and accounting software.
  • Attention to detail, precision with numbers.
  • Good understanding of business control processes and systems
  • Experience interpreting and applying FCA Compliance and AML rules
  • Good knowledge or awareness of regulatory requirements concerning International Trade Controls and Economic Sanctions, Money Laundering, Fraud and Bribery and Corruption
